What is a Tabernacle Fellowship?
In our beliefs page and its links we have outlined some our doctrine and core values. We call a church built upon these core values a Tabernacle Fellowship. Does the world need another model of church? We think so. In any Christian bookstore you can find books telling you how to grow this type or that type of church…The Tabernacle fellowship in really nothing new, built mainly upon the style of new-testament church found in Antiochin the book of Acts.
Churches and Ministries built on this model are making a fresh commitment to seeking the presence of God in dynamic worship. Like the early church, we have a strong belief in compassion ministry, believing that in Matthew 25 Jesus revealed that He expects this behavior of his followers, and that He considers it an act of worship, saying that when we do acts of kindness for those in need, He considers it as having been done for Him.
Relationships and KingdomBuilding
Like the early church in Antioch , we believe in working beyond our local ministry to build the Kingdom of God. We believe that local churches and ministries should be in voluntary relationships with other like-minded groups, (We say like-minded because some ministries may be so different in personality or doctrine that you cannot do much with them without compromise) as well as relating to those in the five-fold ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-13) Our team has been involved in several church plantings in the past and is presently helping to launch several new ministries. Do some of these ideas resonate with you? Let us know, maybe we can do some kingdom business together!
