The Four Generations Principle- It’s all about Relationships.
In 2Timothy 2:2, Paul is mentoring his young protégé Timothy, who is building into the church in Ephesus. Paul encourages Timothy to build into faithful men, who will be able to teach others. There are four generations of believer here. Paul, the Apostolic spiritual “grandfather”, is mentoring Timothy, who is moving into greater responsibility, becoming a spiritual “Father”. Paul is advising him about choosing faithful men to build into, who will be the next generation leaders, able to teach new believers and those young in Christ. Antioch Tabernacle Ministries, we practice this by having relationships with apostolic leaders who mentor and build into us. Similarly, we are involved in building new leaders, teaching seminars and in Bible College, and helping several next-generation leaders launch their own ministries. Finally, we teach and preach in churches and serve in evangelistic outreaches to the unsaved.
