Core Doctrines of Antioch Tabernacle Ministries
God
We believe that there is one true and living God, creator and sustainer of the universe , perfect, eternal, coexisting in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Word of God
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, is the Word of God, was given under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, is inerrant in the original manuscripts, is the complete revelation of the will of God for the redemption of man and is the final authority for all matters of faith, doctrine and conduct. We believe that God still does everything today that he did in the Bible.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, who although omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, personally concerns himself with mankind, hears and answers prayers, and who mercifully saves from sin and death all those who come to him through Jesus Christ.
God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, and is the only mediator between God and Man. We believe that he was eternally existent with God, humbled himself to be incarnated as a man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, who convicts the world in the matters of sin, righteousness, and judgment and as the Comforter, is the divine agent of new life and sanctification in believers. We believe that He empowers the believer to live an overcoming life and for ministry. We believe that the Holy Spirit is active and present in our world today and distributes the spiritual gifts as found in scriptures to believers.
Sin
We believe that man was created by God in His image, but chose to sin, causing all of mankind to come under guilt, suffering and death. We believe that God, through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, renews those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
Salvation
We believe in the atoning death of Jesus Christ on the cross to provide redemption for all mankind. We believe that by believing in the Lord Jesus, and by confessing Him as Lord, mankind may receive forgiveness for sins and be born again into eternal life.
Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and His ascension into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father. We believe in the resurrection into eternal life for all those who believe in Him.
Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the Lord’s Supper and Water Baptism are ordinances that should be observed by the church, but should not be considered as means to salvation apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We acknowledge the Lord’s Supper as away to remember His atoning sacrifice for our sins and also to acknowledge our relationship with other believers as part of the body of Christ. We believe that all believers should be baptized by immersion as a public testimony of their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and acknowledging the laying down of their old life while being raised up into a new life in His Kingdom.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as an additional impartation that is available to all believers which strengthens, comforts and empowers the believer. It is typically accompanied by the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life.
The Second Coming
We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus Christ to the Earth, the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the blessing of eternal life for those who are in Christ Jesus, and also in eternal suffering for the wicked.
The Mission of the Church
We believe that the mission the church of Jesus Christ is to spread the message God’s love and redemption of mankind through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, to help others experience the Face of God through intimate worship and prayer and the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, and to be ambassadors of the Hand of God by actively and compassionately reaching out to those who are in need. We believe that God gave Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers to equip His church for works of service, and that the church should help each believer to grow up into their destiny in the body of Christ.
